Customer Stories - Liam O'B

Background:

Liam plays off 19, but before he had is left hip replaced he had a handicap of 13.

What was wrong:

Following his operation he found he was able to load his weight onto his left side. As he was now striking the ball with more power he was struggling to control it and his handicap began to rise. He felt he should have become a better golfer after the operation but now the opposite was happening.

How we fixed it:

We took him out of regular steel shafts and into graphite stiff, keeping them longer than standard. This created more stability for the head, the increase length allowed him to stay tall through impact for his new hip turn. We flattened the lie to keep the head flat on the ground. As Liam has great hand eye coordination we stiffened the shaft in his driver, opened the face and now he can turn and throw his hands at it to maximise his distance.

Improvement:

We will be re-visiting Liam to see how he is getting on with his new Cobra Irons and Driver.
