Graham – A low handicapper who had adapted his swing to the wrong clubs.
Background
A 6 handicapper who wanted his irons tested. He had too high a ball flight, too deep divot. Had been custom fitted elsewhere.
What was wrong
Graham was fitted based on his handicap not the way he hit the ball. The shaft was too heavy, which made the club too heavy and he couldn’t feel the head.
How we fixed it
We rebuilt his irons, using his existing heads with a Dynamic Golf SL S300
By using a lighter shaft he was able to feel the head and because it was lighter he stopped picking the head up and swinging too steep.
Improvement
His deep divot disappeared, ball flight lowered and distance increased. The club was more balanced, his tempo improved and he hit the ball more consistently.
