Customer Story: Steve M, From 12 to 9 handicap

Steve M, got in touch and we are delighted to share his story. Steve’s irons and fairway clubs were holding him back with a major loss of accuracy from poorly built clubs. He needed more stability from the shaft and his clubs needed to be built to suit him and balanced better to match his rhythm

 

 

During the analysis, we could see Steve’s swing is full and well rounded, but the ball is hit with the hands and arms rather than the body and is not generating as much energy as he probably could do. So to help the club to create more energy for distance, as well and helping with the distance control side of his game and accuracy

• The shafts need to come up a little in length to allow his to keep taller through the ball and encourage more rotation through the ball.
• The shafts are lacking in a little strength to keep the ball straighter in flight
• The clubs although already graphite are too heavy in head weight and need to be much lighter in balance for speed.

• More balance from lighter weight clubs in both the head and shaft for more consistent rhythm from the swing and better deliveryof the club head to the ball.
• With additional length in the clubs he can stand taller to the ball and create a better turn through the ball. This equates to more distance.
• Increase the stiffness of the graphite shafts to produce more spin and accuracy control through the shaft creates massive gains in consistency of yardages and improved flight.

• Winner of his first Intermediate Scratch Cup – MoyValley – By 5 Shots !
• Handicap reduction from 12 to 9 – First time ever into single figures.
• Shot his lowest round ever of 73.
