The new Aldila RIP Phenom NL (Nasty Long) shaft

Aldila RIP Phenom NL Shaft Golf

Aldila shaft manufacturing technology uses a unique process known as Reverse Interlaminar Placement (RIP) that winds strands of carbon fibre in a complex weave design. This makes their shafts stronger and less likely to “hoop” where the shaft gets out of its consistent shape under the forces of a swing. All this special and unique placement of carbon fibre allows this new shaft to have incredible control of the head as well as great responsive flex and feel.

With today’s bigger heads having lighter weight and innovative adjustments one of the things a number of our clients were struggling with was a very high spinning, “climbing” ball flight. These new bigger driver heads are making it harder to keep the ball low and in control.

The new Phenom NL is Aldila’s lowest spinning shaft and is a fantastic shaft to match to the low flighted driver heads from TaylorMades SLDR, Titleist’s 913 D2 range and Callaway’s X-Hot Pro driver.
