We design and build all the test clubs in our ClubRoom. We look at the composition of the club and what we need it to do for the golfer. We work strategically with shafts of different weights, torque, flex, weight and profile. We match the shaft to the head based on its design because that is what makes the ball fly correctly.
Every club has a different “job” to do. We painstakingly map out every single one of our 2,000+ test clubs. Knowing exactly how we have made a club means we can then match it to the golfer.

Once we test and fit you for the clubs you need, we then build the club right next door in The WorkShop. One man, one build, one club.
The less hands involved in the order process, reduces the chances of misinterpretation of the specifications.

No matter how good your fitter is or how impressive the numbers are from your fitting session, if the guy building the clubs is not up to par, then the clubs won’t match the fitting.
If the clubs aren’t top notch, the fitting doesn’t matter. It’s like having the best looking restaurant, the best service and freshest ingredients in a great laid out kitchen but if the chef is no good then it all falls apart.
We have the best ClubMakers, in fact, we have won Irish, European & World GCA Clubmaker of the Year.

We don’t believe in tolerances. If the loft on the 6 iron needs to be 31° then that is what we make it.
The larger companies that build both standard and “custom” sets have “manufacturing tolerances”, these are between 2° and 4° depending on the brand.
This is the small print (from the website of a large well known golf company) underneath where they list the specs of their clubs. “These are design specifications that may vary due to manufacturing tolerances”
So this means, that even with a set of “custom” Irons you get from them, you could end up with the completely different spec due to “manufacturing tolerances”. Well, we couldn’t deal with that for our customers so we build our own.

Building clubs isn’t easy, in fact it’s the hardest way to work with golf equipment but we know it’s the only way that really delivers results.
We invested in staff, a workshop full of high-tech clubmaking machinery. We have special arrangements and licenses from the golf companies to get their heads and make the clubs on-site. It’s time intensive and you really have to know what you’re doing.
We do it because we know that this is the only way that Custom Fitting really works, it’s not just the fitting – it’s how well the clubs are made that’s really important..
