Taylor Made held out for a whole year without any forged irons except for the R9 TP forged which was for Tour play only. Well thankfully they are launching three new Tour Preferred models next Spring. There is a blade/muscle back called the MB, a semi cavity called the MC and a full cavity named the CB. There is a weight port in the centre of all three which we will be able to use to customise the weight and create better balance in the club build. We use this balance to help with the swing tempo of the clubs we build. The balance weight of the head to the shaft is directly linked to the rhythm of the golf swing so with this innovative design we can improve our players’ tempo through the club.
This super design also places the weight directly behind the ball which will help to deliver super feel and great penetrating ball flight. With the three different heads we will be able to help a wide level of golfer and this product is perfect for the golfer who wants the ultimate in feel and will go up against the Titleist and Mizuno range of irons. We will be able to fit the very good player right up to the double figure handicapper that wants to get more control and better feel to help him get into single figures.
The heads will launch early 2011 and should be ready for ForeGolf to fit and build around March of next year.
