Highlights of The 2014 PGA Golf Show in Orlando

With over 1,000 different stands if it’s got anything to do with golf, this is definitely the place to find it.

  • Nearly 10 miles of show aisles.
  • 1 million square feet of interactive exhibit, product demonstration and industry presentation space.
  • More than 40,000 influential PGA Professionals, manufacturing executives, VIP retailers, industry leaders & top decision-makers.


There was a very positive vibe at the show, here are a few key points from the floor

  • The main players Callaway and Taylor Made / Adidas / Adams / Ashworth put on a great display with full size tanks and dome cinemas on each of their respective stands.
  • Puma/Cobra had their own DJ on the booth with Jasper Parnevik guest mixing on one for the days and launched the new Bio Cell+ iron which looks the business.
  • Irishman John McGuire launched the Game Golf GPS golf caps that track your round.
  • A company launched a golf skateboard that you strapped your golf bag onto and skated around the course.
  • Bridgestone Golf looked impressive and was very focused on their new golf ball plans for 2014, one to watch.
  • We found a robotic arm called RoboPutt. A training device that teaches muscle memory for putting, pitching and chipping.
  • Nippon shafts announced a move to an unbelievably lightweight steel shaft.

Derek managed to clock up 67,000 odd steps which is almost 30 miles of walking in 3 days.
